Welcome to our wonderful school.

Flamstead Village School is a Primary School situated in the beautiful village of Flamstead in Hertfordshire.  We cater for children from Nursery to Year Six and our school is very much part of the community. We are a small school in which everyone is valued. We have a team of dedicated and experienced staff who meet the individual needs of each child.  Our school also benefits from delightful grounds overlooking open fields and woodland in which our children can play and learn . Our last OFSTED inspection, in June 2023, stated: "Pupils are very happy at Flamstead Village School" and that "Staff have high expectations for all pupils."  They also talked about the "positive feeling of community spirit." These are all things I am immensely proud of.

We are proud of our values and caring ethos here at Flamstead. We are very welcoming and we find that new children and their families  settle into school life very quickly.

Children who are new to Nursery and Reception have opportunities for taster sessions before they start and our Early Years staff also complete home visits  to ensure a great start for all children  as they begin their learning journey with us. 

If your child joins us in KS1 or KS2 we make sure that they have a 'buddy' to support them in their first week and we also meet with Parents and Carers to ensure a smooth start.

We continue to work closely with Parents and Carers at Flamstead to ensure consistency between home and school and to make your child's primary education an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Throughout the school we promote an atmosphere that is calm and positive, this in turn  fosters effective learning which is relaxed and happy for all.

We are immensely  proud of all the children in our school and celebrate their achievements as learners and as good citizens both in and beyond the classroom.
